On Friday 24th July, businesses from across the region headed to Carlton Football Centre for an evening of six-a-side football in aid of When You Wish Upon a Star, the Nottingham-based charity that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. The tournament was organised by Express Recruitment, and it was a brilliant night of competition, community and generosity — with NetMonkeys proud to come away as tournament champions.
A Night for a Great Cause
Six-a-side football tournaments are always a great way to bring businesses together for a bit of friendly competition, but the real win of the evening was what it achieved off the pitch. Between match entries, raffle prizes and donations on the night, everyone taking part came together to raise an incredible £2,037 for When You Wish Upon a Star.
That total will go directly towards funding a wish for a child and their family — a tangible, meaningful outcome from one evening of football.
